IBS has been granted the status of “International University” by the Ministry of Education of Hungary. Only two institutions possess the status of “International University” in Hungary, IBS and CEU.

This new status extends our opportunities considerably, therefore ensuring greater possibilities for our students. In addition, it is more in line with our actual mode of operation and, in particular, with the fact that IBS offers practice-oriented programmes on Bachelor and Master level as well - delivered in English and validated by our partner, Oxford Brookes University.

Just after receiving the International University status, another great thing happened: IBS became a Superbrand – being the only university in Hungary in the history to receive this award.

 “At its 6th annual conference, the 16-member jury of “Superbrands” has recognised IBS as one of Hungary’s Superbrands. This title is awarded to well established brands with a remarkable history and reputation – it is a rare occasion that the brand of an educational institution is given this status. When considering a brand for Superbrands status, the jury takes into account the brand’s reputation and the value that the brand guarantees for its customers. The award is also acknowledgement of the organisation’s commitment to build a strong and distinguished brand.
